Mrs. Pailin dedicated over 25 years to teaching at Open Door Christian Academy. During her years at Open Door, she touched the lives of many students, faculty, parents and families with her style and grace. She left a lasting impression on everyone who had the honor of meeting her. For her students, she sought to share the true heart and character of God in their every day lives and the lessons she taught. Her famed Bible lessons were known for bringing the Bible to life and sparked a fire for Christ in many of her students.

Mrs. Pailin was a gifted teacher that set high standards. She made her students feel loved with her quick wit and sense of humor. Mrs. Pailin was one of those teachers that often had a meaningful impact on her student's lives. Whether it was her ability to make someone feel special, her life lessons or taking extra time to make sure everyone understood what she was teaching, it was evident that she truly cared.

Mrs. Pailin inspired students to reflect the character of Christ and her encouragement and love motivated them to be their best. She often went the extra mile to collaborate with parents and provided helpful insight and support. It was not uncommon for her to attend student's sporting events, plays, and other extracurricular activities outside of the classroom.

Mrs. Pailin was called to teach, and she believed it was her life's ministry. The saying "to teach is to touch a life forever" embodies the impact she had on those she taught. She will always be remembered and respected by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
